Aspendos



Aspendos is a world-famous Roman theatre which is located 45 km from Antalya. The design was made in the year 155 A.D. by a Greek architect called Zenon who lived in the city of Aspendos It was built under Marcus Aurelius (161-180) at the 2nd century A.D. It is richly decorated, really worth a visit. It is famous for its fabulous acoustics. Today it is still used for the annual opera and ballet festival, usually taking place in September every year.

Side meaning pomegranate in the old local language is located 60 km from Antalya. Side established in the 7th BC. was an important ancient harbor city and the biggest slave trade center in the Mediterranean. Side was home to many civilizations. However, most of the ruins you see today are built by the Romans, except the museum near the theatre. The theatre of Side is unique. Because all the other theatres were built against the natural slope of a hill. But There was no hill in Side. They had to build it with arches. It is also the only theatre with elephant legs in the world.

Perge is located 18 km from Antalya. Perge established in 2th BC was the most beautiful and rich city in the ancient world. It was also was the capital of the Pamphylia (old Antalya region). Perge has a large site of ancient ruins 15 kilometers. A theatre, a palaestra, a temple of Artemis, and two churches are the places to see in the ruins of Perge city.

Kurşunlu waterfall



Kurşunlu waterfall is located 20 km from Antalya. It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Antalya. The waterfall is about 20 meters high and launches ıt's water into a lake with large fish. It lies in a beautiful park.
